For customers who have a Lithuanian litas account in our bank, and have litas on their account on 31 December 2014, we shall convert them into euros at the official exchange rate of 1 litas = 0.2896 euros (1 euro = 3.4528 litas).
If there are no Lithuanian litas on the accounts of the customers’ or there is no option for holding any other currencies on their accounts on 31 December 2014, the accounts shall be closed. If a customer wishes to continue using this account, it is necessary to add the option of holding euros or other currencies on that account by 30 December 2014, at the latest. This can be done in the Internet Bank or at a branch.
Transfers in litas can be made until 10 a.m. on 31 December 2014. All payment orders in litas after that time will be rejected.
It is not possible to open new Lithuanian litas accounts in SEB anymore. Lithuanian litas can be exchanged in cash in SEB branches until 31 December 2014.
