“When choosing a new car for their family or company, clients are increasingly opting for environmentally friendlier vehicles,” commented Ainar Leppänen, Head of SEB Liising. “The positive thing is that the range and number of offers for such cars have increased significantly in recent years, and SEB is also offering more attractive financing terms for green cars. Today, you are no longer limited to choosing environmentally friendly cars only from among small cars; also on offer are several green and efficient family cars that provide savings in terms of fuel consumption. These cars are comfortable, durable and also green at the same time. As a company, we support the green way of thinking, which makes us happy to see sales of green cars experiencing an upward trend,” added Leppänen.

According to SEB Liising, in the first quarter of 2015 environmentally friendly cars in all three Baltic States were dominated by Škoda and Volkswagen. In addition, the top five most popular green car makes included: Toyota, Peugeot and Opel in Latvia; Toyota, Nissan and Hyundai in Lithuania; and Nissan, Ford and Peugeot in Estonia. In Estonia, the five most popular green car models included: Škoda Octavia, Škoda Fabia, Nissan Qashqai, Ford Focus and Škoda Rapid.
